Addendums for Tor Onion Service Access / Tor Region

This section outlines specific conditions regarding user privacy and data handling for connections made through our dedicated Tor Onion Service (π.onion Address TBA).

1. Commitment to Anonymity and Privacy

We operate the Onion Service to provide a secure and private pathway for users, particularly those operating under conditions of surveillance or censorship. We are committed to not collecting or retaining any data that could be used to personally identify the source IP address of a user connecting via the Tor network. Our standard server logs are configured to strip or pseudonymize all network traffic data unique to the Tor connection (such as Tor circuit identifiers) as quickly as technically feasible.

2. Necessary Logging for Holoneon Grid Integrity

While respecting your network anonymity, please be aware that the OpenSimulator platform requires certain information to operate and maintain the integrity of the Holoneon Grid:

Account Data: Your registered Avatar Name and User Account ID are required for all transactions, object ownership, and content creation, and are not anonymized.

Action Logging: Standard platform logs regarding avatar actions (e.g., chat messages, teleport history, object rez/edit operations) are recorded and stored in association with your User Account ID, regardless of the connection method (standard or Tor).

Moderation Data: In the event of an alleged violation of the Terms of Service, moderation logs related to the incident will be retained.

3. Moderation and Security Practices

To ensure a safe environment for all users, and given the unique security challenges of anonymous services:

Temporary Security Logging: For the sole purpose of detecting and mitigating automated attacks (e.g., botnets, spam attacks) that threaten the stability of the Holoneon Grid, we may temporarily log encrypted or pseudonymized data points. This information is not correlated with a user's real-world identity and is purged immediately upon verification that the threat has been neutralized, or within a maximum of 24 hours.

Account-Based Enforcement: All enforcement actions, including temporary suspension or permanent ban, are applied to the User Account ID. Anonymity will not shield an account from disciplinary action for violating our Code of Conduct or Terms of Service.

4. Jurisdiction and Legal Compliance

Users accessing the Holoneon Grid via the Onion Service are subject to all stated Terms of Service and the laws of California, USA. We maintain the right to report any content that is illegal under our governing jurisdiction (e.g., CSAM) to the appropriate authorities.
